Nothing Gold Can Stay

Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf,
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

“Some of you guys I hang around alot, others hardly ever but I still consider all of you my friends. Eventually I will fade away from most of your memories. If I have learned anything it is that the only thing you can really count on is your friends.”
Chet III, January 1992
